Coral Isles is the evolution of our line of superior sunscreen products inspired by the harsh, high-altitude UV conditions found on the ski slopes of the Rocky Mountains.

Rocky Mountain Sunscreen—now Coral Isles—is headquartered in Lafayette, Colorado and has been manufacturing superior sun protection products since 1992. Our founder, David Erickson noticed that skiers and snowboarders were getting sunburned in Colorado's high altitude mountains. This inspired our product creation. Following three years of research and product development, our superior bonding base formula was born.

In 2021, Hawaii's legislature enacted SB 2571, Act 104, prohibiting the sale and distribution of sunscreens that contain the chemicals Oxybenzone and Octinoxate in Hawaii. Like many mainstream sunscreen brands, we removed these long-standing ingredients.
